Disruption on London to Gatwick rail services 20 November

If you plan to travel between Gatwick and London on Sunday 20 November, please be aware that, due to engineering works, most rail lines between London Victoria and Clapham Junction will be closed.

As a result, there will be no Gatwick Express trains and no services to the airport from London Victoria Station.

A replacement bus service will operate between Victoria and Clapham Junction, although travellers are advised to use London Bridge to Gatwick Airport services.

Half-hourly Gatwick Express service on Sunday, 8 May

A half-hourly Gatwick Express service will operate between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport this Sunday, 8 May, due to engineering work taking place between Balham and Selhurst.

Train times as follows:

  • Trains will depart London Victoria at 00 and 30 minutes past each hour.
  • Trains will depart Gatwick Airport at 20 and 50 minutes past each hour.

Please be aware that timings may vary during the early morning and late night periods.

Disruption to train services to Gatwick this Bank Holiday weekend

Watch out for more disruption to the trains between London and Gatwick Airport this coming bank holiday weekend.

Continuing engineering works between Clapham Junction and Selhurst will mean some lines are closed.

There will be no Gatwick Express services from Saturday 30 April until 4am on Tuesday 3 May.

The line closures will also have a major affect on other trains operating between London Victoria and Gatwick – some services will involve bus journeys, others will involve taking the tube to Blackfriars.

Journeys are expected to take between 68 minutes and 77 minutes, so, if you plan to travel by train, please allow plenty of time for your journey.

Half-hourly Gatwick Express services Sunday 17 April

The continued rail engineering work between London Victoria and Balham means that some rail lines will be closed this Sunday, 17 April.

Gatwick Express services will be replaced by a bus service until 06:20.

From 06:20, a half-hourly Gatwick Express service will operate at the following times:

  • Trains will depart London Victoria Station at 00 and 30 minutes past each hour
  • Trains will depart Gatwick Airport at 20 and 50 minutes past each hour.

More Gatwick Express disruption this weekend, 9 & 10 April

Some rail lines between London and Gatwick Airport will be closed this weekend due to engineering works.

As a result, there will be a half-hourly Gatwick Express service in operation on Saturday 9 April with trains departing at the following times:

  • London to Gatwick trains will depart Victoria Station at 00 and 30 minutes past each hour
  • Gatwick to London trains will depart Gatwick Station at 15 and 45 minutes past each hour.

On Sunday, buses will replace trains between the hours of 00:30 and 06:20.

From 06:20, Gatwick Express trains will depart at the following times:

  • London Victoria to Gatwick trains will depart at 00 and 30 minutes past each hour
  • Gatwick to London Victoria trains will depart at 20 and 50 minutes past each hour.

Disruption to Gatwick rail services this Sunday, 3 April

One day the engineering works between London and Gatwick will be completed. In the meantime, there’s more disruption to rail services to Gatwick this Sunday, 3 April.

There will be no Gatwick Express services between the hours of 01:10 on Sunday 3 April and 04:00 on Monday 4 April.

Also, due to the lines being closed between London Victoria and Balham, there will be no direct rail services between London Victoria and Gatwick during this time. Passengers are advised to travel from London Bridge.

No Gatwick Express this Easter

A reminder to regular readers that there will be no Gatwick Express trains this Easter bank holiday weekend – from Friday 25 to Monday 28 March – due to engineering works.

These works also mean there are no trains between London Victoria Station and Clapham Junction.

Passengers travelling to Gatwick by train from London are advised to go via London Bridge.

Gatwick Express disruption 19-21 March

There will be disruption to Gatwick Express services this weekend, 19 – 21 March due to engineering works.

An amended service will operate half-hourly from 01:20 Saturday 19 March until 04:00 Monday 21 March.

Saturday 19 March

Gatwick Express trains will depart at the following times:

  • Victoria to Gatwick trains will depart at 00 and 30 minutes past each hour
  • Gatwick to London trains will depart at 15 and 45 minutes past each hour.

Sunday 20 March

Between the hours of 00:30 and 06:20 replacement bus services will operate.

After 06:20, trains will depart at

  • Victoria to Gatwick trains will depart at 00 and 30 minutes past each hour
  • Gatwick to Victoria trains will depart at 20 and 50 minutes past each hour.

Gatwick Express will operate a half-hourly service this Sunday, 6 March, due to engineering works.

Gatwick Express trains will depart at the following times:

  • Victoria to Gatwick trains will depart at 00 and 30 minutes past each hour
  • Gatwick to Victoria trains will depart at 20 and 50 minutes past each hour.

Rail engineering works, which will continue this weekend, will have an impact on Gatwick Express services on Sunday 28 February.
