The airport has added lots of fun and entertainment to help get the holiday party started and put everyone in the holiday spirit.

No surprise that the most popular destination for Gatwick flyers this year is Spain, with Malaga being the most popular destination for the second year running.

The airport’s busiest day, Tuesday 23rd July, saw around 72,000 fly out of the airport. In August the airport will expect to help a whooping 460,000 people fly out during the week of 12th August.

The UK’s second largest airport, and the world’s busiest single runway airport, Gatwick has laid on a host of entertainment to help families keep their little ones busy. Each week the airport will have different themed family fun activity days, including magic shows, dance and music, and even circus acts.

To help passengers get any questions and queries answered promptly, the airport has brought back 120 Gatwick Ambassadors who were used during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games. The popular Ambassadors will be situated all around the airport to offer help and advice to passengers, both air and land side.
