Gatwick Executives Announce Rosetta Stone Partnership

Rosetta Stone and Gatwick Airport have announced a partnership to bring innovative language-learning technology to the airport’s staff.

On 22 March 2012 at Union Open Learning Days, Gatwick will sign the airport’s first-ever learning agreement, setting up a joint venture with Unite, Britain’s largest trade union, to deliver the training.

Gatwick’s customer service staff, security officers, first aid providers and the fire service will learn with Rosetta Stone Enterprise TOTALe, the comprehensive language-learning experience combining the proven Rosetta COURSe® software with Rosetta STUDIo® practice sessions and the Rosetta WORLd® online community.

  • Rosetta COURSe. Where learners develop a foundation of language, build a vocabulary and are encouraged to speak correctly
  • Rosetta STUDIo. Where learners sharpen their skills online through live, 50-minute sessions led by tutors who are native speakers
  • Rosetta WORLd. Where learners connect with others in an online community to explore language through fun games and other inspiring activities
  • Rosetta Stone Manager. Empowering organisations to track learners’ progress with customised reports, helping to ensure the defined language-learning objectives are met.

Tina Oakley, HR Director at Gatwick Airport. “Our priority is to deliver the best end-to-end passenger experience through the airport and make Gatwick London’s airport of choice. Passengers will judge their experience of Gatwick not just on the quality of the airport facilities but also on the friendliness and helpfulness of our staff. That is why we are pleased to partner with Rosetta Stone to encourage language learning amongst our staff.”

“We are thrilled to be a part of Gatwick’s journey toward developing its multilingual workforce to better serve their global customers,” said Judy Verses, President Global Institutional Business, Rosetta Stone. “Our partnership with Gatwick Airport Ltd. extends beyond our proven TOTALe product. We will work closely with Gatwick to ensure a successful rollout and adoption of the solution, as a true partner should.”
