Wizz Air Launches Aerosvit Rescue Fares

Wizz Air Hungary and Wizz Air Ukraine have launched joint rescue for passengers affected by disruptions to Aerosvit operations.

So far, cancellations have affected flights between Kiev and Budapest and Warsaw, however, the airline has also said that should Aerosvit cancel its London Gatwick flights to Kiev, Wizz Air will offer affected passengers rescue fares of £50.99 (+ booking fee) from London Luton.

The rescue fares are subject to seat availability and passengers are advised to book quickly.

Call Centres:
Hungary: 0690-181-181
Poland: 0703-60-39-93
Ukraine: 044-206-4-888
United Kingdom: 0906-959-0002

“Wizz Air is committed to deliver reliable flight operations in all countries it operates in and we hope that the ongoing disruptions for Aerosvit passengers in Hungary, Poland and the Ukraine can be minimized or avoided. This week is a peak travel period due to the Ukrainian holidays and affected passengers experience difficulties to find alternative travel arrangements. To help affected passengers, Wizz Air Hungary is now offering this rescue fare of HUF 10,990 (plus the booking fee) on Wizz Air’s route between Budapest and Kiev. Bookings can be made via our call centre until the 15th of January and the original Aerosvit reservation must be brought to the airport when flying on Wizz Air’s unique rescue fare. London rescue fares will be available if Aerosvit cancels any Gatwick-Kiev flights this week”, said Daniel de Carvalho, Corporate Communication Manager at Wizz Air.

Rescue fare tickets are one way; for travel between 7 January 2013 and 31 January 2013, subject to availability.
