Norwegian to set up base at Gatwick

Norwegian Air Shuttle is set to expand operations at Gatwick by establishing a base at the airport from next year.

In spring 2013, the airline, which currently operates flights to Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm, will base three aircraft at the airport and introduce 14 new direct routes from Gatwick. It will also increase the frequencies of flights to Stockholm – five per day, up from three – and operate four daily flights to Oslo, up from the current four.

New services to be introduced by Norwegian are:

  • Majorca
  • Malaga
  • Marseille
  • Nice
  • Rome
  • Split
  • Tenerife
  • Tromsø
