easyJet tops 100 destinations from Gatwick

easyJet has topped the 100-destination milestone at Gatwick with the launch of flights to Moscow.

After a battle with other airlines, including Virgin Atlantic, easyJet was awarded the rights to operate the Gatwick to Moscow service.

Flights will operate twice-daily from next spring using an Airbus A320. The airline expects to handle more than 230,000 passengers on the route during its first year of operations.

In addition to the Moscow route, easyJet has also announced the introduction of two new summer services to Kalamata and Santiago.

Flights to Kalamata will operate twice a week from 6 July 2013, while flights to Santiago will operate three times a week from 18 June 2012.
