easyJet introduces allocated seating on all flights from Gatwick

Following a successful trial on more than 6,000 flights, easyJet has announced the introduction of allocated seating on all its flights.

EasyJet passengers travelling from Gatwick will see allocated seating from 13 November 2012.

Charges will be made for customers choosing their own seats, however, customers who don’t wish to pay for allocated seating will be allocated a seat free of charge.

Prices for booking allocated seating are as follows:

  • £12 seats with extra leg room
  • £8 for seats in rows 2-5 on A319s and rows 2-6 on A320s
  • £3 for any other seat

Dates for the introduction of allocated seating are as follows:

13 November – Bristol, Gatwick South, Glasgow, Luton, Southend and Stansted
20 November – Gatwick North, Fiumicino, Milan Malpensa, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Rome
27 November – Belfast, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Basel, Berlin Schönefeld, Geneva, Lisbon, Lyon, Madrid, Nice, Paris Orly and Toulouse
