Vision for Gatwick shortlisted for Architecture award

It’s yet to hear if its design will actually get off the ground, but Gawick Airport’s design for a two-runway airport has been shortlisted in the World Architecture Festival Awards.

The ‘Vision for Gatwick’, designed by Sir Terry Farrell, has been selected in the Future Infrastructure Award category and is up against stiff competition from, amongst others, Istanbul Grand Airport, Turkey; New High Speed Railway Station of Casablanca, Morocco and AstanaTrain Station, Kazakhstan.

The winner will be announced on Friday 3 October in Singapore.
